
ShipTek International Conference & Awards 2023, held at The Address Marine Hotel, Dubai, on 15 – 16 March 2023, was a resounding success. The event, organized by Biz Events Management, brought together top industry stakeholders, decision-makers and experts from the maritime industry under one roof. Attendees were treated to a wide range of thought-provoking presentations and interactive panel discussions highlighting the many ways technology enhances efficiency, safety, and sustainability in the maritime world. The eagerly anticipated industry awards – ShipTek Maritime Awards 2023 recognized the 'Bravehearts' of the maritime industry who have contributed significantly to the industry and demonstrated innovative and visionary leadership. Mr. Ibrahim Al Nadhairi, CEO (Shipping & Drydock), ASYAD was presented with the ShipTek Maritime Personality of the Year Award, Mr. Numair Shaikh, CEO of Tomini Shipping, was honored with the Rising Star award, and Capt. Tanuj Balani, Managing Director, Stag Marine, was bestowed with Excellence in Professional services – Maritime. To recognize a student with exceptional academic performance, leadership, and engagement in the maritime industry – the Shiptek Maritime Student of the Year award was presented to Ms. Varsha VB, Final Year Bachelor of Technology in Naval Architecture and Shipbuilding Engineering of Sree Narayana Gurukulam College of Engineering, Ernakulam.
