Majestic Marine Engineering has built a great reputation for itself in the market, with an extensive portfolio of projects ranging from fishing ports to high-profile mega yacht marinas. While many of these projects were challenging, Majestic Marine Engineering’s consistent aesthetic results have become their signature trademark.
Established in the 1980’s in the shipbuilding and repair area of Jadaf in Dubai, UAE, Majestic Marine Engineering was formerly known as the Al Muhairi Ship Maintenance Company. In 2002, the company produced the first pontoon for the Abu Dhabi Coastguard, Marine Division, with several others produced in the three subsequent years for the Coast Guard and private individuals. In 2006, a fully equipped factory was constructed in Fujairah. Four years later, Majestic Marine Engineering started to extend its expertise into the construction of piled boardwalks, quay walls, breakwaters, rock revetments, slipways, beach protection and pipeline installations. In the last five years, Majestic Marine Engineering has manufactured and installed more than 5,000 berths and now offers its clients turnkey marina solutions of the highest quality and standards.
Majestic Marine Engineering is the only company that manufactures high quality Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) pontoons in the Middle East. They manufacture two types of pontoons; the Heavy Duty Majestic Mono-block Pontoon System used for yachts and boats over 25m and the Standard Series Majestic Frame, and Float Pontoon System used for smaller fishing and leisure boats.
All pontoons installed are uniquely designed for each project based on the proven base models. According to Dr. Jack Bokaris, General Manager, the company’s engineering team customs designs any marina according to the highest international marina standards, guaranteeing a quality product at affordable prices and with minimal maintenance requirements.
Maintaining the trust of their clients
Majestic Marine Engineering works with several governmental organizations such as MOPW, DPW, CMW, RTA and ADPC. They are involved with these entities as the main marina contractor as they undertake the design, manufacture, installation of the pontoons and execute all the associated marine ancillary works such as breakwaters, revetments, quay walls, marine railing, safety equipment, and more.
They also have a highly professional business development and engineering team who provides design information and commercial input, including value engineering and specification advice during the tender stage. This is supplemented with detailed shop drawings after the project is awarded, and professional operational staff manufacturing, installing and handing over the project.
Recent achievements and upcoming projects
Majestic Marine Engineering has more recently been involved in the VIP marina located within the dome of the Louvre Museum in Abu Dhabi. The specifications of this facility are totally unique and of the highest standards, even including rough marble top decking. Majestic Marine Engineering is the only company in the UAE that was able to achieve the high specifications set by the project consultants and architects.
In addition to that, they recently delivered a spectacular fully serviced marina in Mina Al Arab, Ras Al Khaimah for leisure boats. They installed a private marina for a 130m Mega Yacht complete with shade structures, gangway, utilities and a 2000Amp pedestal, the biggest electrical pedestal installed in the world on a floating pontoon. Furthermore, Majestic Marine Engineering completed a commercial fishing marina in Taweela for the Command of Military Works, which included both their monoblock system for fishing dhows and also the frame and float system for the smaller fishing boats.
They have an interesting order book for next year. Majestic Marine Engineering’s team is currently constructing two 300m long raised boardwalks with floating marinas installed inside a protective breakwater in Qatar. They are also responsible for the prestigious Bulgari Hotel Marina, which will accommodate 52 motorboats and yachts. Furthermore, they are constructing a private boardwalk and chalet project in a pristine mangrove area.
