In line with its vision to be an international maritime hub and to create the best business and maritime services cluster, Dubai Maritime City signed a strategic partnership agreement with Tactics Maritime Creative Communication which is responsible for managing and publishing “Marasi News” the first maritime specialized media platform in the Middle East. In return, Marasi News shall provide integrated media services for companies operating in DMC, in order to help them increase their sales and enhance their presence in the market, through giving them professional and specialized media services that satisfies the needs of shipping and maritime companies.
DMC aims, through this partnership, at enhancing the maritime services sector and create media momentum that will open up more business opportunities for the companies that operate in DMC. The agreement was signed by Eng. Ali Al Suwaidi, the General Manager of Dubai Maritime City and Mr. Mohammed Bin Dakhin Al Matroushi, the Editor in Chief in Marasi News and the Chairman of Tactics Creative Communication.
Commenting on this agreement, Eng. Ali Al Suwaidi declared the goal that DMC wants to achieve through this partnership, saying: “Since the establishment of DMC, we have realized that our success depends on providing the incentives and the abilities that help our companies to deliver their maritime services in both professional quality and economic feasibility. That’s why, we have provided the best wherewithal that will allow our customers to focus on their business, achieve growth and more profits. We have also invested a lot on the equipment and facilities needed to allow these companies to provide competitive and distinguished services.

Marasi News will also enhance our clients’ media presence and build a professional image for them, through providing high quality services that strengthens corporate communication and employs public relations to build reputation and corporate image that will in turn enhance their position in the market. Furthermore, Al Matroushi emphasized on the great value of this media partnership “We consider this partnership an important step towards strengthening maritime economy in the UAE, as it is one of the main pillars contributing in building a sustainable economy away from oil revenues. Over the years, we realized the great opportunities lies in the maritime sector, where UAE’s total amount of expenditure on this sector exceeds 272 billion dirhams a year. This means that the maritime sector brings great revenues and whoever invest in it by enhancing their media presence and launch professional marketing campaigns will definitely gain a bigger share in the market and a higher sales and revenues.”
