As the F1 season comes to a close with the grand finale of the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, we take a look at how to live the highlife while attending the races.
Formula 1 is famed for its rarefied experiences; exclusivity and luxury come as standard. To ensure you exceed your guest’s expectations, F1 Experiences and Yas Marina Circuit have turned up the heat. Partnering with Burgess, the global leading authority in superyachts, the mighty 69m SALUZI will be used as the official superyacht at the event. With many other yachts including the 77m SILVER FAST available for charter.
With SALUZI setting the standards, superyacht charter has never been more appealing. Complementing the F1 ethos perfectly, a yacht is the ideal setting for corporate hospitality. With private staff on hand 24 hours a day, trackside positions (minus the crowds of the public areas) plus intimate spaces to discuss any business that needs discussing, there is no finer tool to ‘wow’ your clients, or indeed guests.
“Chartering a superyacht during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is an absolute must. Year-on-year it’s a huge success and it’s a real pleasure to get positive feedback from clients: I couldn’t recommend an F1 charter more.”

Fine dine on deck
Be in the thick of the action at all times and take lunch or dinner where you choose. On deck dining can be a casual or formal affair depending on your preference. Your private chef and crew can create culinary delights to serve while you witness the thunderous roar of the engines zipping around the track. When the action is over, head inside to experience a black tie dinner served in the main saloon. Throughout the day there will be a plentiful supply of canapes, snacks and drinks.
Don’t miss a trick
If you enjoy the pundit’s comments throughout the race, outdoor cinema screens and speakers can ensure you hear all of the commentary throughout, giving you an all-encompassing view. When it’s all over, why not turn the speakers up and host an after party. Most yachts in port can hold at a minimum, 60 guests (check with your charter broker for actual numbers).
Avoid the crowds
With a private transfer to your yacht, or sail in/out options the VVIP service starts before the race. If you decide you want to join in any on shore parties, ask the crew to organise a chauffeur to greet you at the yacht, whisk you to your event, and wait for you before transporting you in style back again. When the three day event ends, take some time out and cruise the nearby waters for some much needed R&R.
Depending on the size of your yacht, expect to accommodate up to 12 guests overnight. Each luxury cabin will be fitted with the latest in technology, high end bath products and a private maid who will unpack your clothes and ensure the cabin is well kept at all times. An F1 schedule means a number of costume changes, but with only the small matter of a staircase between you and your wardrobe, you will be red carpet ready at all times.
